In response to the impact of the Coronavirus epidemic, to ensure safety of our participants and provide you with the most convenient way to network, increase your technical knowledge and find business partners, this event has been turned into a Virtual Conference.

This Virtual Conference will be focused on discussing prospects, trends, opportunities and challenges of Vietnamese Food and Beverage market in context of ASEAN region. It will be conducted in Bahasa, with Bahasa-English Translators available.

The global F&B market is now hot, with more start-ups combining innovative technology with food manufacturing. Consumers' desire to eat healthier, have their food bring additional beauty benefits, be more organic, lab meat and vegan trends and changing needs of an aging population are main global trends identified by the ITIS Institute of Food Research that we will answer during this event.

Indonesia, aside of being the largest economy in Southeast Asia, also has a vibrant manufacturing industry, and its development rate has ranked among the highest in the region. By 2030, Indonesia is expected to become the 7th largest economy in the world, and this huge growth potential creates incredible demand for advanced technologies and performance materials.

In 2020, we will combine global development and trends to Indonesian F&B manufacturers, and discuss the four major areas of raw materials & ingredients, processing and packaging in F&B manufacturing:

  1. Future business opportunities for functional F&B related to health, nutrition and beauty
  2. Efficiency and innovations in processing technology
  3. Sustainable packaging and materials
  4. Application of the Internet of Things, automation and robots

F&B segment revenue is expected to show an annual growth rate (CAGR 2020-2024) of 15.6%, resulting in a market volume of US$2.684 billion by 2024. Indonesia is the fastest growing economy in the Group of Twenty (G20), with a rich and interesting F&B market, and very active F&B sector.

The CAGR of the Indonesian plastics market, that is the most popular packaging material for F&B products, is expected to be 6.23% during the forecast period from 2018 to 2023. Polyolefin accounted for the largest share in 2017, exceeding 47%.
